Veneers are thin coverings which can be made in porcelain or composite material. Veneers are placed over natural teeth to enhance the shape, colour and size of teeth. It is a minimally invasive treatment which can produce a dramatic difference to your smile.
Chipped, cracked or stained teeth can be transformed through composite bonding (veneers). After carefully matching the colour to your natural tooth the resin is expertly sculpted into the exact shape needed to complete your smile makeover. The benefit of composite bonding is that is it minimally invasive to the tooth and a more conservative treatment. The composite can pick up stain from food and drinks e.g. coffee so will need to be regularly maintained with good oral hygiene and hygienist visits. Porcelain veneers are made in a laboratory after the tooth has been appropriately prepped. The porcelain veneer is carefully bonded to the tooth to enhance tooth shape and overall smile.
Porcelain is a stronger material than composite and much more wear and chip resistant. Lasts approx 10 years plus!
